Hatton To Move Up, fight Collazo

ESPN Boxing’s Dan Rafael has reported that unified junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton 40-0 (30) will move up a weight class to fight Luis Collazo 26-1 (12) at welterweight (147). Collazo is currently ranked as Ring’s #5 welter.

Hasegawa beats Veeraphol again

WBC bantamweight champ Hozumi Hasegawa successfully defended his title for the second time today in Japan, beating Thai challenger (and Ring’s #3 bantam) Veeraphol Sahaprom with a 9th round TKO. Hasegawa took his title from Veeraphol last April with a UD.
Hasegawa’s record improved to 20-2 (7), Sahaprom fell to 52-3 (35).
